Informativa sulla privacy

Ultimo aggiornamento: 29 ottobre 2026

I tuoi appunti

  • gli identificativi casuali delle note che hanno usato la prova gratuita, senza titolo né contenuto: così la prova vale per il tuo Apple ID;
  • se hai già visto la presentazione dell'app;

Acquisti

Rapporti sugli arresti anomali

Cancellare i tuoi dati

I tuoi diritti

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 29, 2026

Chicca collects no data. There's no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. I made the app, and I never receive or see anything you write.

Your notes

Your notes, with their images and PDFs, live on your device. If iCloud is on, Chicca keeps a copy in the private database of your iCloud, run by Apple: only you can read it, with your Apple Account. That copy is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Technical information in your iCloud and on your device

To work, Chicca stores in your iCloud (key-value storage) and in your device's keychain:

  • the random identifiers of the notes that used the free trial, with no title or content, so the trial applies to your Apple Account;
  • whether you've already seen the app's welcome pages;
  • your preferences, if you turn on Sync Preferences.

They stay in your account and on your device. I can't see them.

Purchases

"Chicca forever" is bought through Apple. The app only receives Apple's confirmation of the purchase: payment details never reach the app or me. Refunds are handled by Apple too.

If you write to me

If you write to me from Contact the Developer or by email, I receive your address and what you write. I use them only to reply, I don't share them with anyone, and I delete them when you ask.

Crash reports

If you've turned on sharing with app developers in iOS settings, Apple may send me anonymous reports when the app closes because of an error. You can turn it off in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

Other sites

From Chicca's Settings you can open this page, the App Store, your Mail app and Apple's refund request. Those sites and apps have their own rules.

This website

This part is about the website only, not the app. The website is hosted by Google on Firebase Hosting: like any server, it receives technical data about visits, such as the IP address, and uses it to run and protect the service.

Analytics. Only if you accept in the banner, the website uses Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) to know how many people visit it and how they use it: pages viewed, page scrolling, clicks to other sites, form use, device and browser type, approximate area. Google Analytics stores the cookies _ga and _ga_DC39VD8ZSV in your browser, which last up to 2 years, and does not keep the IP address. The data stays in Google Analytics for at most 14 months, and Google may process it in the United States too, under the safeguards of the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. I don't use analytics for advertising, and Google Signals is off.

Without your yes, Google Analytics does not load. You can change your mind anytime from “Cookie preferences” at the bottom of every page: if you decline, the website stops measuring and deletes the Google Analytics cookies.

Feedback. On the Feedback page you can suggest a feature, report a problem and vote. Whatever you send goes to the website's database, Cloud Firestore by Firebase (Google), in Europe: title, text, language and time, and for a problem also the model, the iOS and Chicca versions and a video, stored in Cloud Storage for Firebase in the United States. Everything shows up on the board, the video too, without your name: anyone visiting the board can watch it, and their browser downloads it only if they open it. To count one vote per person, the first time you suggest, report or vote the website gives you an anonymous code (Firebase Authentication anonymous sign-in): no name, no email, and your votes stay tied to the code without being public. Google may process this data in the United States too, under the safeguards of the Data Privacy Framework. I keep feedback as long as it helps improve Chicca; if you want one removed, write to me.

In your browser. The website remembers your cookie choice for 6 months and, if you used the Feedback page, the anonymous code of your votes. It keeps them in the browser's storage, they are not cookies: they go away when you clear the website's data in your browser.

Children

Chicca collects no data from anyone, children included.

Deleting your data

Delete notes in the app, then Recently Deleted → Empty. The iCloud copy can be removed from your device's iCloud settings, under Manage Storage.

Your rights

For the emails you send me, your feedback and the website analytics, you have the rights of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR): to know what I have, correct it, delete it, or object. The data controller is me, Robert Hoanca, in Italy: to exercise them, including asking me to delete your data, write to me from the Support page. You can also contact the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be on this page, with its date.
